STORMS, NO ELECTRICITY & WATERFALLS!
We had severe storms and tornado warnings yesterday afternoon. The electricity went out right at dinner time and didn't come on until this morning about 11:00. By bedtime last night, the kids were reminding me that they had not had dinner yet, so sweet Daddy went out and cooked us hamburgers and sausages on the grill (about 10:00 at night).
Since the electricity was off and there was nothing to do inside, the kids went outside and had a blast playing in a waterfall that the rain had created, and then we walked over to the waterfall that feeds our pond and played in it for quite a while.

Check out those eyes - Yikes!
Joshua climbing up the waterfall that feeds our pond. This is pretty much where Kara stayed put the whole time (in my arms!)
Kara finally got brave enough to sit on the rocks (as long as her feet didn't get wet!)

Glad you all are safe, way to turn what could have been just an annoyance into something fun - what a Mom!
That looks like lots of fun!! The water, that is . . .:>)
So good to see you and your precious family on Sunday.
What fun!! I heard that there were storms in several places up there. I am glad you are safe. The mud puddle and waterfall is a kid's paradise. They don't look too stressed about the electricity. My kids love it when the power goes off. I don't think they realize how much of our lives depend on this luxury. If our power goes out right now, you would find us melted on the floor-it is very hot here now.
Looks like some sweet memories were made! And I enjoyed seeing all the wedding pics...thanks!
(hope you sleep better tonight....thanks for your latenight prayers:)...Seriously)
Looks like your kids were having a blast!!!!!! Loved your pictures! You all were making lemonade out of lemons!(smile)I also enjoyed the reception pictures...looks like it was a grand affair! How fun! Have a great day!
EWWW! We had those nasty storms too! Thankfully, our side of the street had electricity. Unfortunately, our neighbors across the street didn't.
Looks like you all had fun in spite of it all! :)
Looks like alot of fun for the kids anyways. That is a bum when you have no electric, tend to forget how much you use it for. Way to go David fixing supper at 10pm. What a dad! Glad you all are ok.
That looks like fun! My young'uns would have loved that. Thanks for posting those. :-) It's funny that you posted the frog picture because I just posted pictures of my boys with a toad! I think God made them just for boys.
Happy times...
